Olympus is a manufacturer known for its quality cameras and they've continued with the trend when they've stared developing digital cameras. Olympus, like Fuji is now using XD Flash Memory Cards in all their new models.
With its massive range of digital cameras I had a really hard time selecting only a few of the best ones but I think that you won't go wrong with the digital cameras reviewed.
Olympus Stylus 300 3.2MP Digital Camera is the first digital camera with all-weather reliability. It means you can take photos under almost any weather condition thanks to its all-metal, weatherproof exterior.
3.2 Megapixel sensor captures enough detail to create photo-quality 8 x 10 prints and medium-quality prints up to 11 x 14 and it has a nice 3x optical zoom. It uses the XD Flash Memory Cards, the most recent and most advanced memory cards.
Olympus Camedia C-4000 4MP Digital Camera comes with a 4 Megapixel sensor captures and 2,288 x 1,712 images for prints at 11 x 14 inches and beyond. 3x optical plus 3.3x digital zoom lens (for 10x total) with autofocus are also very good.
Movie mode captures up to 2 minutes of video with no audio. Stores photos on 16 MB SmartMedia card. This is definitely a drawback but only if you plan to be taking a lot of photos as SmartMedia cards max capacity is 128MB. If you don't plan on taking a lot of high resolution photos than this camera isn't for you but it's of great value because of the quality of the photos it takes.
Olympus Camedia C-5050 5MP Digital Camera comes with an exceptionally bright, high-quality 3x zoom optical system and 5-megapixel resolution, the C-5050 includes a full complement of high-end features. 5.0 Megapixel sensor creates 2500 x 2000 images for high-resolution prints up to poster sizes.
Olympus Camedia C-5050 is compatible with the new XD memory-card format (it includes 32 MB card), as well as SmartMedia, CompactFlash, and Microdrive cards so you can't go wrong here. :) Highly recommended!
