Digital Camera Ratings

Digital camera ratings are very hard to do objectively as I've outlined earlier it's impossible to outline just one single best digital camera or something like that. It depends on you and how you're going to use the digital camera. Some things might be more important than the others depending on the things outlined above.

The three major things to take into consideration when buying a digital camera are its zoom, resolution and the memory the digital camera uses to store the photos. On those three things I've tried to base my digital camera ratings and I hope you'll find them useful.

Digital camera ratings rule #1 - With zoom you can switch between close up and a faraway point. There is a very important thing to think about when buying a camera and that is the difference between optical and digital zoom. Optical zoom is a lot better than digital zoom so take that into account when comparing.

Digital camera ratings rule #2 - A photograph, whether viewed on the screen or printed, is composed of tiny dots (also called pixels). The more of these dots that can fit in a one inch space, the tinier the dots and the sharper the image.

Digital camera ratings rule #3 - Digital camera storage/memory cards are digital camera film, that's where the digital camera stores photos you take. The advantage is of course you can use them over and over again and a lot more photos can be stored (depending of course on the capacity of the card).
